Document Design & Generation
When your organization updates an application from one version to the next, you need to make sure that no unintended changes are introduced in the output that is coming from the application. You need to test extensively, but manual testing and comparing is a cumbersome task.
Scriptura Engage includes a component to automate testing of template output against a reference set. Specific parameters can be provided to define the sensitivity of the comparison. For example, a threshold value can be set so that the comparison will be more tolerant if only a few pixels are different.
The output of the comparison can be either a report or one or more image files. The report will indicate for which templates differences were found. You can also produce a set of images showing the differences: a heat map, a red-blue overlay or a ‘xor’ map. These images help you to immediately spot the differences.
Automating output testing reduces time to market and reduces the risk of erroneous correspondence.
