Press release Inventive Designers (Scriptura Engage) – For immediate release

Hoboken 9 May, 2017 – We are excited to announce Jim Verbist is appointed as new CEO of Inventive Designers.  This introduces a new phase of growth for the Antwerp software company.

Jim follows Klaas Bals, who led the company as CEO and CTO since 2012. Klaas will transition from the operational management of Inventive Designers, but remains active as shareholder and director. From this role, he will continue to provide strategic leadership to the company.  David Geleyn has been promoted to the role of CTO; he has been active with Inventive Designers for 15 years and has led Product Management in recent years.

“It’s a logical next step for us,” says Klaas Bals. “5 years ago, my in-laws transferred Inventive Designers to my wife Joke and myself. In recent years, we focused on greater customer focus and further professionalization of the company. We have compiled a new board of advisors and board of directors and we have invested in a number of key positions in the company. In recent years, our sales have increased from 4 to almost 7 million euros, and growing our headcount from 40 to 60. The company is profitable and financially healthy, and we have been recognized in market studies by companies such as Forrester and Gartner.  We also just released our new cloud component Web Designer. ”

“In addition, we have also attracted many new enterprise customers,” says Klaas, “such as the Flemish Tax Services, O2, M-Team, Belfius Insurance and some insurance companies in the US. Now it is time for the next phase, which focuses on further expansion and internationalization. With Jim, we choose an externally oriented bridge builder, who has earned his merits in realizing growth. I am convinced that Jim is the right person to further develop the company, focusing on the customer, the partners and the product. ”

“Assuming that a family member has to be the head of a family business belongs in the past. With a view on continuity and further growth, we have deliberately chosen existing employees as new CEO and CTO. Jim, David and the management team can count on the full support of the board and our advisors”, confirms Joke Dehond, Chairman of the Board. The shareholder structure of Inventive Designers remains unchanged.
